Social Skillz (sheff)  Monday, March 19, 2007
Sheff loves social networks. Especially because all of his friends are as hot as he is.
There has been lots of bicycle riding up in this area lately. The weather has been fan-frickin-tastic for the past month or so, with full sunshine in my grill and 70+ degrees every damn day. Between that and the recent daylight savings time change, the legs are spinning big KJs all the time now. It makes the zillion dollar rent here in Si Valley totally worth it!

Peets coffee is the 2nd best thing about bike riding (chamois cream is #1)

I've raced a few times so far this season, starting back in January at the Earlybird crit series. In Feb, I raced the Snelling RR over in Merced. It was a windy bitch. A break got away and I blew myself out chasing on the front. It's all good training though.

Sheff's break getting pulled back at Menlo Park GP

Last weekend was the Menlo Park GP crit. This race is cool because it is super close to my hood and it was my first CA race last year when I moved out here. We had a solid team of 6 reprazentin Form Fitness. It was a fun race and we were all up in that joint the whole race, punching tickets and taking names. I had a career first: in corner one I was bumped hard from the inside and actually scraped my outside pedal while cornering - totally rode that shit out. The finale was super fast and frenzied, we got Jim up to the front and he was able to jam out 2nd! I was up there, but got caught behind a guy who unclipped in the sprint and another whose chain broke.

Sassan The Instigator: on the attack, again and again and again

In recent news, some of the Form boys went down to race at San Dimas stage race this weekend. Sassy won the RR in an amazing solo break over the last 10 miles, crushing a stacked field of the fittest CA cyclists. On Sunday, Jim busted out 2nd in the crit. So much wattage!

Speaking of wattage, I am moving again next month. I scored a sweet ass cottage in Los Altos that will henceforth be known as the Wattage Cottage. Although this will be my 4th move since arriving in CA last year, this one is a winner. It's all part of my mission to be more like Christoph.

Upcoming Sheff races: Santa Rosa crit, Copperopolis RR, Sea Otter circuit race and RR. The form is coming up like crazy right now.
